Maya Angelou - Human Family

Maya began her poem with the words, "I note the obvious differences in the human family." She ended by saying these words three times, "We are more alike, my friends, than we are unalike.”

The O'Jays - We're All in This Thing Together

We are all in this together  - no truer words have been spoken in this time of the coronavirus. So let's stick to

get and show great character in how we treat each other.

Mary Mary - Can't Give Up Now

The title of this song is noted above. However, the lyrics,

"I don't believe He's brought me this far to leave me" really resonated with me.

In this video, Nick Vujicic demonstrates the power of living without imposing limits on ourselves. We inflict, consciously or subconsciously, physical and mental barriers that prevent us from moving forward and living our best lives. Take a leaf out of Nick’s book: stop worrying, be thankful, and forge ahead!

Diana Ross - Reach Out And Touch

Someone may need you today as much as you need them;

reach out and make contact.

Michael Jackson – Man in the Mirror

Michael gave an outstanding performance when he sang those powerful words in this song. He seemed to be imploring us to change. After all these years, the words still resonate with me. As you listen, I hope you will be inspired to…take a look at yourself and make that change!

Ray Charles - Oh, What a Beautiful Morning

Oh, what a beautiful morning, Oh, what a wonderful day, I’ve got a beautiful feeling, Everything's going my way! There is something about these words that lift me up and bring a smile to my face. I hope it does the same for you as you watch this video and listen to Ray Charles rocking the house!

Kirk Franklin  - I Smile

Your heart may be dark on some days as things are not going well, and although it wouldn’t be easy, try to bring a smile to your lips.

Skin In the Game - Andy Stanley

A powerful video discussion of racial tension and how both sides think, feel, and react in situations with law enforcement. Their honesty really hits home as most times neither party is comfortable talking about the elephant in the room. I hope the discussion opens the door for you to have a civil conversation with your peers at work, church, neighborhood, and other social events.

Andy Williams

It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year! May the magic of Christmas lift your spirits and gladden your heart!  Blessings for a New Year filled with love, joy, peace, and whatever makes your soul sing!
